The 17th annual Reno Celtic Celebration will be held October 5th, 6th
and 7th at
Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Reno, NV. The Reno Celtic
Celebration is a cultural, social and entertainment gathering designed
to celebrate the cultures and lifestyles of Scotland, Ireland, Isle of
Man, Galacia, Cornwall and Wales. Clan tents and information booths will
provide a hands-on learning environment for attendees to learn the rich
cultural heritage and Celtic origins of their ancestors.
In addition to cultural events, a wide variety of traditional Celtic
entertainment will be prevalent throughout the event; pipe bands,
Scottish and Irish dancing, Medieval reenactments, traditional Scottish
athletics, Friday and Saturday night concerts and, of course,
traditional food and drink. We haven’t forgotten our young attendees; we
will have a designated area for children, with Celtic livestock, dogs
and several unique displays to help make the event enjoyable for all.
With our beautiful new location nestled in the Sierra Nevada
foothills in South Reno, we are asking that all vendors contribute to
the authenticity of the event, by decorating their booths with Celtic
flags and banners, and/or wearing traditional clothing and selling as
much Celtic themed merchandise as possible. If you are not able to meet
these requirements we kindly ask you not to participate in this year’s
event to help preserve the integrity of the event. In exchange for your
help in maintaining the authenticity of the celebration, we will refund
the best themed booth’s entry fee (up to $300).
