The Clans are gathering May 16th, 2020 in Reno, Nevada!

For the 2020 Event, the Honored Clan will be Clan McClelland

*”Honored Clan” Clan Status is awarded to those clans who intend to bring a significant amount of members to our festival or to recognize Clans who have distinguished members among them who have contributed significantly to our community in some way. This status awards the clan for exposing our festival to clan members from across the nation and throughout the world. The Northern Nevada Celtic Celebration encourages clans to consider our area for their next AGM.

There are also Celtic Organizations without whose collaboration and constant and steadfast support, the Celtic Celebration could not happen. Organizations include:

Nevada Society of Scottish Clans (Host)

Scottish American Military Society (SAMS)

Sons and Daughters of Erin

Our Clan area is coordinated by Willie Puchert and Sam Hatley. The have succeeded Lowell Patton who served in the position for several years before. 



Both Willie and Sam have several years experience convening tents for their respective clans and organizations and are willing to mentor those who are first timers to our celebration. 

The Celtic Celebration has an “Honored Clan” Promotion which is intended for those Clans who plan to hold their Annual General Meeting during our festival or bring a significant number of people from out of market.
Clan tents and information booths provide a hands-on learning environment for attendees to learn the rich cultural heritage and Celtic origins of their ancestors.

The Reno Celtic Celebration has room for about 20 spaces for Clans and Society organization at this year’s event at Bartley Ranch.

Basic Requirements for Clans:

  • Set-up on Friday afternoon until 6pm and Saturday morning before 8:30 AM  –   Everyone must be set up before our 9 AM opening.
  • Take down Saturday after the event and before 8 PM.
  • Clans/Societies must provide own booth set-up including tables and chairs, and wind anchors. The Truckee Meadows is WINDY in the Spring, this is REQUIRED to prevent damage to your structures, goods and/or gear.
  • There are no electrical hookups for clan/society tents.
  • Celtic Celebration is a gated event and each clan/society will receive two day-passes for each day.
